Castle Friedrichstein

At a glance

  • Bad Wildungen

Located high above Bad Wildungen, the “Hessian Military History” collection with weapons, uniforms, medals and paintings from the 16th to the 19th century can be seen in the castle.

The new permanent exhibition shows castle rooms in the Empire style. The valuable furniture from the early 19th century comes from princely possessions. A highlight is the Ottoman weapons from the early 18th century with an original Ottoman state tent.
