On the southwest slope of the approximately 400 m high Hochstein there is a beautiful viewing point and a small refuge.
There is a beautiful viewpoint in the middle of the forest. The panorama includes the Edersee and the towns of Harbshausen and Herzhausen. In addition to a rustic refuge, there are benches that invite you to linger.
There are remains of some Bronze Age barrows in the area.
How to reach us
In the town of Vöhl follow the street Lindenallee uphill. At the end of the road, follow the gravel path to the crossroads and park near the information board.
Parking
Hochstein hiking car park in the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park.
The parking lot is located in the extension of Lindenallee street.
Public transportation
The nearest public transport stop is Vöhl-Post. From there it is approx. 1.5 km to the Hochstein hiking car park and another 1,5 km to the Hochstein viewpoint.
