Asel Bridge

At a glance

  • Vohl

When the water on your access paths has dried up, it can be visited and used by hikers and cyclists to cross the Eder.

The 60 meter long, 4-arched Eder Bridge is now the best-preserved structure in the old Eder Valley and reappears when the water level is below 235,10 m. It was built between 1887 and 1890 and is now a listed building. After its evacuation, the village of Asel was blown up by imperial pioneers.
