The information facility with exhibition in the south of the national park is located in the transition area between the cultural landscape and the new wilderness of the national park.
The Kellerwald Clock focuses on the changing relationships between people and the forest under the sign of the beech tree, and takes us on a search for traces through time: the cradle of our culture lies in the beech forest. The exhibition's hunting window provides an overview of forest history and cultural development from the Ice Age to the present day. In the fire circle, children and adults sit around a flickering campfire and listen to the story of the beech tree in the basement forest. Surrounded by historical scenes, visitors immerse themselves in times gone by, when people still lived with the beech forest and later exploited it, right up to today, when they protect it and nature can be nature again.
E-scooters for people with physical disabilities can be rented for a deposit for a tour of the national park.
