The newly renovated and barrier-free Fritzlar Museum shows objects from 1300 years of the city's history. Prepared in a contemporary manner, the museum provides information about them, makes current references and is a learning place that is fun!
Museum is boring? Not with us! The 3D simulation of a burial chamber from 3500 BC. BC captivates by looking at the earliest history and brings it to life before your eyes. At modern media stations we hear people from the past speak and children can touch, put on and try on items of clothing from the past. The 450-year-old wedding house itself tells many stories and is a worthwhile destination for the whole family.
The museum team offers guided tours for visitors. Here you can research, discover and design yourself. The wedding house, built between 1580 and 1590, is considered one of the largest half-timbered houses in Hesse. The museum has an elevator that takes you to all three levels of the building. It is located in the historic old town, west of the market square.
