In the quality hiking region of Edersee, you can hike on the famous Urwaldsteig Edersee and Kellerwaldsteig trails, among others. In the midst of rustic forests - past gorges, cliffs and streams - you will experience the realm of the ancient beech and oak trees up close. The fascinating views of the Edersee, winding like a fjord, are unforgettable.
What counts is not who is faster, better or who reaches the finish line first, but rather the hiking experience with like-minded people. Everyone hikes at their own pace, enjoys the many small natural wonders along the route in their own way or lingers at the numerous viewpoints or food and adventure stations. Along the way you make contacts and motivate other participants to persevere, because everyone has the motivation to complete around 42 kilometers (hiking marathon) or around 84 kilometers (extreme hike).
At this event we offer you a traveling stage that is second to none. Experience the unique nature of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park and National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) at every turn in Hesse's hiking adventure land.
For the 10th edition, the crossing of the old Aseler Bridge was actually planned. Due to the very wet summer days, a crossing cannot take place. The route has been adjusted accordingly... Also a beautiful route ;-)
