Worth seeing hiking route along five historic mills

Route 1 follows the Lengelbach through the wildly romantic valley. Five mills are on the way to the Edertal and Hessenstein Castle. From the starting point the path leads to the Oberste Mühle and further to the Kuchenmühle. Lengel and Bärenmühle offer refreshment stops. Following in the footsteps of the Huguenots and Waldensians, you walk past orchid meadows and gnarled forests. The path follows the rushing water to Huhnsmühle, the last mill before the clear low mountain stream flows into the Eder. Via Hessenstein Castle and Mengershof we go back to the Bärenmühle and back to Ellershausen.
