“When I was a month old, my parents took me to Herzhausen for the first time, that was in the 60s. As a child, I jumped from the tent straight into the lake. Whether it's a weekend, summer holidays or New Year's Eve, we've been camping here with the family - my brother, his children and their friends - for over 30 years. Swimming in the lake early in the morning, hiking, going out on the water in a boat and visiting the fantastic wildlife park every time – that makes me happy. It never gets boring: Bad Wildungen, Fritzlar and Korbach are beautiful destinations for shopping and going out. By the way, I also met my husband at the campsite. He met here every year with his motorcycle clique.”
