Active on the water

As the second largest reservoir in Germany, the Edersee offers plenty of space for all your water activities. The shore is accessible almost everywhere, if you don't want to go to the lido, look for a romantic bay. Sailors, surfers, rowers and canoeists will find ideal conditions. Surfing and sailing schools offer courses. Stand up paddling is trendy and a lot of fun. You can borrow or rent the right equipment for all water sports from our professionals.

Which leisure captain do you want to be: on an electric boat, in a rubber dinghy or comfortably in a pedal boat? Or do you leave it to the passenger ship to sail you from shore to shore?

The Edersee is one of the most beautiful fishing areas in Germany, but it is not easy to fish for, so there are guides who will take you out on the water. The sunken ruins are particularly interesting for divers. You can canoe not only on the Edersee, but also on the river Eder.

There are places and there are favorite places, the latter being the Edersee for me.

"After studying in Poland, where I was born and grew up in a small, cozy village, I first ended up in Ireland. I thought that this was the most beautiful place on earth until I came to the Edersee for work. Hemfurth became to my new home and the Edersee to my favorite place. This is where I found the love of my life and discovered new hobbies for me.
